Don't miss out and register now for our complimentary Willms & Shier Environmental Lawyers Webinar Series!
Our fifth webinar of the year is titled: Excess Soil Update: Trucking Right Along! The webinar will take place on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm via Zoom.
Ontario’s excess soil laws are here and "trucking right along"! Ontario's booming construction industry is grappling with new legal requirements to manage excess soil. As of January 1, 2022, Ontario's excess soil laws were in full legal force and effect. While the government recently "paused" the second phase of these laws (until January 1, 2023), the first phase remains in effect.
Projects that generate excess soil impose obligations on construction and waste management industries, consultants, contractors, municipalities, land owners, and developers alike.
Join Willms & Shier lawyers Matthew Gardner, Anand Srivastava, and Madiha Vallani as they present an engaging hypothetical case study that incorporates our experiences assisting clients with excess soil over the last year and steps you can take to ensure that you are up-to-date on Ontario’s new excess soil laws.
