Bio

Jennifer is a senior associate lawyer practicing in the areas of environmental law and environmental litigation. Jennifer has extensive experience in civil litigation since her call to the bar in 2015.

Jennifer joins Willms & Shier Environmental Lawyers in our firm’s Toronto office as a litigation lawyer. Prior to joining our firm, Jennifer litigated a range of civil litigation matters at a boutique litigation firm in Toronto.

Jennifer obtained her law degree at the University of Ottawa. While in law school, Jennifer focused on environmental law and was actively involved in the environmental law student’s association.

Jennifer has appeared before administrative tribunals and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Environmental Litigation

  • Defence of Snow Removal Company in Civil Claim—Advocated for a snow removal company to defend a civil claim involving alleged damages resulting from a slip and fall, which included attending Examinations for Discovery and preparing for and attending Mediation.
  • Defence of Individuals in Civil ClaimsAssisted individuals to defend personal injury civil claims including (i) preparing pleadings, (ii) attending Examinations for Discovery, (iii) preparing for and attending mediations, (iv) preparing for and attending Pre-Trial, and (v) attending any motions as necessary.
  • Defence of Environmental Regulatory ProsecutionsAssisted in defending a corporation charged with violating a Environmental Compliance Approval and provisions of the Ontario Water Resources Act.
