Reporting Deadlines to Canada’s Plastics Registry
On March 14, 2026, Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) released a Notice Amending the Notice delaying implementation of mandatory plastics reporting - Phases 2 and 3 - until the 2027 calendar year. However, producers of packaging, electronics and electrical equipment, or single‑use or disposable plastics destined for the residential waste stream must continue to report Phase 1 data annually.
