Don't miss out and register now for our complimentary Willms & Shier Environmental Lawyers Webinar Series!

Our next webinar titled: UNDRIP: What is it? What it means for Canada will be taking place on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm via Zoom.

The federal government's introduction of Bill C-15 seeks to provide a roadmap for the implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples ("UNDRIP") in Canada.  UNDRIP is a comprehensive international instrument on the rights of Indigenous peoples that addresses both individual and collective rights, including many rights that relate directly to natural resource development on Indigenous lands.

Join Julie Abouchar, Charles J. Birchall, and Lauren Wortsman as they discuss what UNDRIP is, what UNDRIP is not, and the implications of UNDRIP relating to impact assessment, project development and Indigenous consultation.
