Carl McKay will be presenting at the Law Society of Upper Canada: Six-Minute Business Lawyer which is taking place on June 8, 2016 at the Donald Lamont Learning Centre, 130 Queen Street West, Toronto.

Carl’s presentation is titled Doing Business with First Nations.  First Nations are increasingly becoming involved in complex commercial transactions with industry, especially in the area of non-renewable natural resources.  Whether it is negotiation of impact benefit agreements or joint ventures with industry, contracting with First Nations has its own unique aspects.  Carl’s presentation will include important considerations for counsel when contracting with First Nations to increase the likelihood of a successful transaction.
